Overland offers 37 carefully crafted outdoors, service, language study abroad and writing programs for 11 to 18 year olds. Each program has a clearly defined goal: hike to the summit of a mountain peak, reach out to a community in need, master another language, improve your writing skills. Overland groups are small, with no more than 12 students or fewer than 2 leaders. Our small groups create spirited, close-working teams, allowing students to thrive in an environment of friendship and fun as they learn from their leaders and discover their own strengths through their accomplishments. Carefully selected and prepared, Overland's leaders are bright, dynamic and accomplished individuals who serve as powerful role models for their students. Our leaders motivate and inspire while providing 24-hour-a-day leadership of an unfailingly-high standard.

At its heart, this is the Overland experience: a small group of students with inspiring leadership, engaged in a challenge that captures their imagination, stretches their abilities and strengthens their bonds with each other. We place a premium on fun, friendship, teamwork and determination. In doing so, we catalyze in our students an understanding of the world beyond themselves, beyond their own needs and wants—and we do this while showing them how beautiful and exciting, how full of promise the world is.
